Toyota and Yaskawa cut roll-cage welding at the Gamagori kart plant from up to three weeks to three days with an AI welding robot.

Toyota introduced an AI welding robot, jointly developed with Yaskawa, at its GR Kart plant in Gamagori. Trained on welding images and audio, it checks parts with microphones and sensors before welding and cut roll-cage fabrication from up to three weeks to three days. Teaching a robot the welder's ear, not just the path, is a skilled-trades story.

Agentic AI use in energy rose from 15% to 33%, while only 40% of US leaders trust the grid to keep up, per an ADNOC, XRG and Microsoft survey.

The third annual ADNOC, XRG and Microsoft Powering Possible report finds agentic AI deployment more than doubled from 15% to 33%, while 60% of energy respondents are piloting or deploying robotics in physical operations. Confidence that infrastructure can meet AI-driven power demand sits at just 40% among US leaders. Useful benchmark numbers, and the grid confidence gap is the real headline.
