Emro will build a procurement agent for GS Caltex's 2,700 small purchases a year.

Emro won a contract to build a procurement agent for GS Caltex covering about 2,700 small-value material purchases a year, The Elec reported. The agent is meant to run from request through quotation, supplier pick and purchase order, with unclear cases handed back to staff. Low-dollar, rule-heavy buying is where agents earn trust first. Chevron's in-house agentic AI production-engineering assistant is live optimizing wells 24/7 in Permian, Bakken and PZ.

On the Q3 call, CFO Eimear Bonner said Chevron built an in-house AI production-engineering agentic assistant that optimizes wells 24/7 in Permian, Bakken and PZ. Separately, DJ Basin hit first-quartile reliability with lost-production events cut in half. Distinct from Project Kilby. (Company-wide AI value capture was also discussed on the call; that figure is not attributed to this assistant alone.)
