TechCrunch reports NVIDIA is in talks to guarantee debt for Nscale's West Virginia AI campus, whose first 460 MW building is contracted to Anthropic. Chip makers underwriting buildings and power is new; the talks are unsigned.
On the Q3 call, CFO Eimear Bonner said Chevron built an in-house AI production-engineering agentic assistant that optimizes wells 24/7 in Permian, Bakken and PZ. Separately, DJ Basin hit first-quartile reliability with lost-production events cut in half. Distinct from Project Kilby. (Company-wide AI value capture was also discussed on the call; that figure is not attributed to this assistant alone.)

The UK North Sea Transition Authority's stewardship survey logged 1,320 innovative solutions, including 189 newly reported technologies. Operators are using single intelligent pigs that handle mixed pipe diameters and AI tools that guide well intervention, decommissioning and carbon-storage choices. A regulator counting AI as a production tool is a good sign for adoption in mature basins.

The list reads like a map of who will hire operators and buy power and materials next. Defense-heavy, but the factory and inputs pillars are the ops story.
