Mitsubishi Power puts $490 million into its Savannah turbine plant as backlog hits 35 GW.
Mitsubishi Power will put $490 million into its Savannah Machinery Works in Pooler, Georgia, adding 450,000 square feet and more than 220 jobs. MHI's large-frame turbine backlog is 35 GW, up from 23 GW a year earlier, with recent orders set for delivery between 2028 and 2030. The turbine queue is a real limit on new power, and this is how long the fix takes.
