Crude Code: an MCP server that has Claude pull well data and run deal economics

Point it at a well database, set decline parameters, and get a valuation and a map in chat. Its own README says Claude plays reservoir engineer and the server is the calculator, so the decline curve is still a judgment call.

For A&D analysts and reservoir engineers: get a first-pass valuation in chat, then check the curve yourself.

A Claude skill that draws process flow diagrams a chemical engineer would accept (68 stars)

Process engineer Scott Duncan packaged plant practice into a skill, so Claude checks its PFD against standards and a review checklist before handing it over, catching errors like an open control loop or a steam coil above the liquid level. The output is an editable SVG plus the script that made it.

For process and chemical engineers: a first draft of a conceptual PFD in minutes, to mark up like any junior engineer's work.

Outside the Mag 7, AI has not lifted revenue per worker or profit margins.

Apollo chief economist Torsten Slok says revenue per worker and profit margins are rising for the Mag 7 but flat for the other 493 companies in the S&P 500. He says mainstream companies are starting to treat token spending as a cost center. The AI payoff for industrial companies still has to show up in plants, fleets and utilities.

reBot-DevArm is a fully open 6-axis arm with every screw on the BOM (4,563 stars).

Seeed Studio's open 6-axis arm publishes sheet metal and 3D printed parts and a full bill of materials with purchase links. The post cites a 1.5 kg payload, 650 mm reach and under 0.2 mm repeatability, with software for Python, ROS 1 and 2, Isaac Sim and LeRobot.

For automation engineers, robotics trainers and technical schools: a cheap way to learn robot work cells before buying the real thing.
